Most of the past couple of days has been spent scurrying about collecting the original art and decorative work I am taking to Alison Connick’s house on Wednesday to, hopefully, raise some money for Shooting Star Chase Children’s hospices (to which you are of course welcome if you would like to come – just let me know M:07796 952116 E: firstname.lastname@example.org)
It has been quite humbling to see the skill and energy- not to mention the DAYS (I had no idea how long) it takes to produce this gorgeous work. I get a huge buzz out of it. And it has been fascinating to see the spaces where it is created: Ali crafting her ceramics at her simple potters wheel at the bottom of her garden, Candida putting the finishing touches to her garden paintings in the studio of her lovingly designed arts and crafts house, Julie working on her cast glass sari blocks in the appropriately named Light Factory in Scrubs Lane and Roger, sculpting and painting in Suffolk, so sadly I couldn’t see but here is a link to his blog which I think speaks for itself. http://rogerhardy.blogspot.com/
I am going to do a blog on each, but for now I thought that you might like to see a taste of the quality of their work.
