Jacquie Cheetham offers a full interior design service and project management from a total refurbishment including space planning, kitchens, bathrooms, decorating and floor requirements to advice on furnishings and complete window assistance from measuring/fitting to supplying of curtains, blinds and shutters.

Jacquie loves being creative and using her design skills. Having completed her training in 2000, Jacquie has been working as an interior designer for the last 14 years.

Her first project was a house in the Isle of Wight where she worked with two semi-detached bungalows to create a fabulous Cape Cod style home with a stunning top floor living space with balconies either end.  Since then she has carried out numerous interior design projects and gone from strength to strength.

Jacquie believes it’s really important that she gets to know the client first so she can interpret what they would like and create a unique design which reflects their life style and how they like to live and entertain their family and friends.  A successful project is all about detail and with a background in advertising and travel, together with conference and event management, Jacquie has a high level of creative and planning expertise that she can bring to each new client.

“Jacquie Cheetham of JC Design Concepts has recently advised me on a refurbishment of our kitchen/family room. I wanted to change the look and make the room more “grown up” and add colour. Jacquie was inspirational in her use of colour and light. She introduced me to colours and textures for rugs and soft furnishings that I would not have thought of and everything works beautifully. The curtains were made and fitted in record time and the rugs ordered and delivered absolutely on target. The new look has been much admired and Jacquie is a genius!  She is delightful to work with and the whole process has been a joy.” – Julia Bowen, Wimbledon

“We are so pleased to have been able to involve Jacquie concerning a virtually complete make-over of our three storey town-house. The task involved the scrapping of all carpets and curtains and much of the upholstery and lighting whilst accommodating a modest collection of paintings, large collections of books and blown glass and numerous mementos from travels around the world. Jacquie’s advice was crucial in establishing the design criteria for every room and determining the guidelines for the selection of colour themes for decoration and patterns for upholstery materials, carpets and curtains. She also provided the motivation for de-cluttering whilst keeping essential art and craft items for display.

Jacquie used her contacts with various trades to assist in the negotiation of contracts for work and supply of materials for re-decoration, electrical wiring, carpeting, re-upholstery and the making of curtains and cushions. Work started with the replacement of all windows and proceeded, floor by floor, in an orderly way so that within a period of eight weeks completion was achieved with only a modest over-spend. Jacquie was in regular contact to inspect progress and to iron out difficulties and she returned, after a suitable period of adjustment to our new surroundings to provide excellent advice on the re-hanging of paintings.

At all times Jacquie has been full of imaginative suggestions which have also inspired our own ideas. In a friendly and positive way she has carefully guided us and given us the confidence to embark on the series of decisions which has resulted in a new home with which we are delighted. We have no hesitation in recommending Jacquie Cheetham to provide a comprehensive service in the many inter-related aspects of interior design.” – Margaret & Michael A

“Recently, Jacquie at Design Concepts transformed my small sitting room with imaginative ideas which updated the fairly tired scheme in the room. I was having difficulty visualising what I could do to change it and make it more contemporary whist keeping with the decor in the rest of the house. She quickly tuned into what I wanted and had the vision to interpret this into marvellous ideas. She gave me a great range of fabric options and helped me to choose. There is quite an odd window in the room and she changed the curtains to a large blind in a beautiful fabric, which looks fantastic, more sophisticated and has not only totally improved the feel of the room but has made it seem more spacious. The blind was also beautifully made and installed.

This recent project is not the first she has done for me; Jacquie also decorated two bedrooms making beautiful blinds, headboards and cushions. Her strong insight into what I wanted combined with her great taste, ideas and attention to detail meant that the result was fabulous and something I could never have done myself.” – Catriona A, Wimbledon
