Architects Home Tour with Aboriginal Art. 19th July. (Wimbledon)

SJ Home Tour 180

About This Home Tour: Hosted by SJ and Richard Holden we will have the opportunity to combine touring the whole of this stunning architect designed house with viewing a selection of Central Australian Aboriginal Art (Tingari Arts)

SJ and her architect husband, Richard, (Holden Harper) bought a standard 1950s developers box house on Parkside Avenue in the 1990’s and proceeded to transform it so that it has become an architectural icon, of much interest to anyone interested in residential design. The house has been completely turned around and re-orientated towards the south facing garden and remodelled to include double height spaces and references to the dramatic and hidden sources for lighting spaces in Baroque churches; influences from the work of John Soane are also evident in the entrance and  main living areas.

The interior and garden are full of fascinating works of art, in particular a wonderful collection of Aboriginal art from Central Australia, complemented by the striking use of colour, texture and materials throughout, including a number of different coloured ceilings.

Date: 7.30pm to 9.30pm  Wednesday 19th July

Angela Bunt Creative, thedecorcafe.com 180

We are delighted and excited to invite you to a Summer Home Tour in August this year as interior designer, colour consultant and home stylist, Angela Bunt, (angelabuntcreative.com) opens up her home.

Angela has lived in her beautiful two bedroom apartment overlooking Tooting Bec Common for more than twenty years, and it is an absolutely brilliant example of how to create a more personal home, without spending a fortune. Following in the footsteps of her Father, Angela is also a trained florist and the apartment is always full of flowers. With a balcony overlooking the common at the front and steps filled of tubs of plants leading down from the kitchen at the back also, she has a knack for bringing the outdoors in also.
