An Evening of Garden Lighting Inspiration
As summer is now upon us, we invite you to join us for an inspiring evening at Holloways of Ludlow’s in Wimbledon where their Head of Lighting Design, Amar Brar, will share his expertise on how to effectively light our outdoor spaces, including:

– Garden lighting techniques, playing with shadows and creating visual drama

– The lighting spectrum and the importance of colour temperature for plants

– Product examples – the good, the bad and the ugly.

About Amar Brar: Amar has been in the lighting industry for over 20 years working for various manufacturers and lighting consultants on projects ranging from high end residential, boutique hotels to Palaces in Abu Dhabi. He recently joined Holloways as their Head of Lighting Design.

About Holloways of Ludlow: leaders in the interior design industry, consistently sourcing and supplying a wide range of designer lighting, striking door furniture, traditional bathroom products and sanitary-ware, stunning kitchen fittings, beautiful flooring, cast-iron radiators and more recently homewares to both retail and commercial customers.

They first opened their doors in Corve Street, Ludlow, Shropshire in 1985 as an architectural salvage shop run by Bob & Jane Dickinson. In 2002, their son Mark Holloway took over the business and gradually moved the company away from individual salvage pieces, to specialising in unusual contemporary and traditional interior fittings and fixtures. Mark had studied Engineering at Oxford where his passion and love for the way something is designed and manufactured, as much as how it looks, was developed. Having previously worked as a management consultant for five years Mark decided to take his chance and became an architectural antique dealer himself, leading Mark to further expand the brand to what it is today.

Venue: Wimbledon Village, 14a Church Road, Wimbledon. Their inspiring showroom offers customers an eclectic range of lighting solutions for the home displayed amongst a capsule collection of complementary furniture and homewares.

Tickets: Free to Members. Includes refreshments. First time guests £20.
