About Jocelyn Horsfall Photographic Artist
Jocelyn is a photographic artist, specialising in atmospheric and evocative images inspired by flowers and foliage and the natural world. Nature is good for the soul, and she looks to capture some of its beauty and serenity and harmony in her work.
Her style is painterly and impressionistic, combining a strong sense of colour and form with an interest in textural effects and abstraction. She uses textured glass, soft focus, multiple exposure, and camera movement to create images with a fluid, organic feel, and is often drawn to the intimate details to be found in nature that are revealed beyond the normal viewpoint. The art of digital processing can also be a wonderful additional creative tool these days.
We Love Jocelyn Horsfall Because…
Quietly understated, Jocelyn is an inspiring member of our community. With a previous career in advertising, she retrained to follow her passion for botanical photography and has gone on to become a world-renowned garden photographer.
