About Polly Gibbs

Polly Gibbs is a former designer turned interiors writer, sharing design tips, ideas and inspiration on her blog and in magazines, including 91Magazine and her interiors column of  6+ years with Vale Life.

Her own designs and advice have appeared in numerous magazines over the years, with one project featuring on Ch4’s Grand Designs, and an interview with Designer Magazine.

More recent work has included visual styling at Soho Farmhouse, for Soho Home, and she is just wrapping up a house renovation, coming very soon to Airbnb (@pollyslittlehouse).

We Love Polly Gibbs Because…

Polly is a really good listener who’s naturally curious about what makes good design work and why bad design doesn’t! To this end, Polly has interviewed really interesting people for her blog, including; Michelle Ogundehin (Interior Design Masters), Kate Watson-Smyth (Mad About The House) and Jay Blades (The Repair Shop).

More About Polly Gibbs

On a more personal level, Polly describes herself as coming from an ordinary background, which seemed to light a fire in her to live an extraordinary life.

Polly lived in Sydney in her 20’s, then went back packing with trips to Bali and Tasmania and a parachute jump, landing on Mission Beach, Australia. (On another trip she was on a plane that made an emergency landing in Prague)!!

Polly now shares her love of travel with her husband. They’ve visited Puerto Rico, the Seychelles, Australia, UAE and much of America – from Miami, Malibu and LA to Key West. More recently they’ve trekked Iceland for The Brain Tumour Charity and hand-fed a tiger and cloud leopard at The Big Cat Sanctuary!

“I’d love to do a stint at an orangutan orphanage, see turtles hatch in Costa Rica and visit Petra, Jordan, and I’d like to get back into painting, having had three art exhibitions in Oxford, Sydney and Bicester Village.

All that said, I’m really very grounded and homely, with a great sense of humour!”
