We were excited to discover that DecorCafe Experts,Peboryon, have designed a cake for the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall. The royal couple were, understandably, absolutely thrilled both by the look and taste of the cake.
Briefed by their local MP, Derek Thomas, Peboryon were asked to create something special for the royal couple at a Cornish Producers event. They came up with the idea of creating a cake to reflect Camilla’s wedding outfit, designed in the same colour as her dress and topped with a sculpture capturing the essence of the hat designed by Philip Tracey.
Christine called on a specialist suppliers to help bring her ideas to life. Firstly, she needed an intricate stencil and got in touch with Evil Cake Genius to create a custom stencil for the bottom tier. This enabled Peboryon to screen print the delicate lily of the valley motif onto the cake. Lily of the valley is a favourite royal flower, and was a feature of the Duchess’ wedding bouquet. Secondly, Christine needed a high quality sugarcraft cutter to make the flowers for the bottom of the cake. She contacted Fine Cut Sugar Craft to create a 7-petal primula cutter, to make the 78 blooms around the cake.
